Leaving on a Jetplane

Greetings Everyone!

It was a bunch of bright-eyed bushy-tailed girls that were present at the airport this morning, brimming with anticipation for what the next four days might bring. We wish our girls all the best in Hong Kong, and hope that they add many more positive experiences to their memories here at CHIJ Handbell Ensemble.

Final Training of Term 1 2013

Dear all,

Our final training for Term 1 was on the 12th of March 2013. We are extremely excited about the opportunity to bring our senior girls to Hong Kong for an exchange with Dr Kelvin Ko's Handbell Academy this coming Monday.

In the meanwhile, here are some videos of the final training of Term 1.

Video of Junior Practice

Our juniors are normally taken by Ms Esther Tan, who teaches them how to read notes as well as technical information such as note values and basic techniques of hitting the handchime. They start off with the handchime before gradually progressing to handbells.

This video is of our seniors that are practicing on handbells for their Hongkong trip. They will be leaving this Monday, on the 18th of March. Do enjoy it!

Collection of Passports

Dear Parents,

We will be collecting the original passports of the girls that are travelling to Hong Kong for the Handbells Learning Journey in the March Holidays.

Please note that the FINAL DAY for collection is tomorrow.

Please take note that there will be a briefing conducted on the 1st of March for all parents of students involved in the Handbells Learning Journey to Hong Kong. More information to go out in a letter to the parents.
